“Sister’s RISE Project”

FCPC and River Region Human Services of Jacksonville has joined forces in the implementation of a HHS/SAMHSA—Strategic Prevention Framework Grant

Sister’s RISE (Resisting Influences with Support and Education) is a five-year (2009—2014) prevention project targeting African-American Women and their partners.  It is a systemic process to introduce evidenced based programs (SISTA & VOICES) directly into the participants environment in hopes of producing outcomes that will augment positive behavioral change and thus reduce the high rates of HIV/AIDS for women of color.
